Beachhead 2023

A couple of Saturdays ago i decided to visit my first show since really getting into the hobby. Beachhead at the Bournemouth International Centre organised by my local store Entoyement . Wasn’t really sure what i would find or indeed what i expected so visited with an open mind.

First observation was that i couldn’t get over the amount of people there especially in the tournament hall (you never know i my get into a tournament or 2 in the future but that’s not for me right now) . There were a great array of trade stores where the odd bargain or two could be picked up and many demo game boards. Obviously a lot didn’t float my boat as not in fantasy or card and board games but there was plenty to wet the appetite with guys on the demo boards only to willing to share there knowledge.

All in all a great first show and ill be back next year and now looking forward to Salute which every one insisted was the one to go to.

The lasting project from Beachhead 2023 was that i would love to aspire to host my own demo game at the show one year. “Everyone needs a project” as one board host informed me.
